Ancient Egyptian rim sherd from Deir el Bahari dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Faience sherd, possibly from a shallow dish. Blue glaze remains on one side. This curves around part of one edge as if part of a rim. There is dark blue black decoration, of scales or feathers, most likely part of a fish’s body with a fin above which has diagonal lines. Faience is thick.
