Ancient Egyptian metal rod from Oxyrhynchus dated 30 BC – AD 395

Metal tool, probably iron. Rod of iron with a square cross section. Long shaft with a twisted section in the middle, the end widens slightly to form what appears to be a narrow spoon bowl. This may be an implement of some kind, or part of a larger object, from which it has been broken at both ends.
