Wooden hawk figure, wings furled, standing on a plinth. White background paint or gesso visible over most of the figure where the outer layers of paint have become detached. Outer layers of paint remaining on the wings and body in patches, red with off white decoration, possibly once blue, edged in black. Decoration is regular, and similar to a four petal flower repeat. Plinth possibly once blue.
Bad insect damage or rot to the base and interior of the object, and the surface is variably degraded. In base for attachment to a coffin.
