Ancient Egyptian kohl pot from Abydos El Arabah dated 1800 – 1600 BC

An intact black green Serpentine Kohl pot, with a detachable rim, 1900.54.125.2, and a lid, 1900.54.125.3. It has an ovaloid body with a flat base. It curves inwards to the short neck which has a short upstand for the rim to be slotted on. There are traces of a black powder, possibly kohl, on the inside of the pot.
