Ancient Egyptian scarab wing from Dandara dated 332 – 30 BC

Green faience scarab wing (from the left hand side of a scarab), with flat surfaces and no decoration. Linen impression on the under side. Made as a separate item, with three holes to attach it to the mummy bandages, alongside the scarab. Two of holes are along the straight edge that would have lain alongside the scarab body, the third hole is at the top of the curved wing tip. Traces of modern glue, with blue material? adherring to it at one edge. (NB. Possibly belongs to the scarab as no. 1898.56.69.)
Colour: green
