Ancient Egyptian wall covering fragment from Dandara dated 332 – 30 BC

Parts of a faience ring bead wall covering, backed in wax or fat, probably at the time of excavation, or shortly after. Originally held together by thread. Yellow, Blue, red and white, and possibly purple, ring beads arranged in a geometric pattern. Fragile, wax is failing and releasing beads. Probably from a wall hanging, or possibly used to cover a body. Patterns seem similar to those painted on tomb ceilings. Some loose beads. Surface dirty. Item is fragile to handle.
