Ancient Egyptian female figurine from Naukratis dated 332 – 30 BC

Solid red pottery standing figurine of a woman holding a lyre or drum or symbol with her left arm. Modelled bust, headdress and legs, but outline of arms and facial features are indistinct. Hair or headdress is raised to a cone shaped point. Feet appear be broken off. The back is flat and undecorated, and there are no holes pushed through the figurine to define the shape, only negative space used. Modern glue and paper adhere to the back of the piece.
