Ancient Egyptian female figurine from Naukratis

Orange and brown pottery head of a female figurine or vase. Hollow through the head, formed into a cylindrical shape, which protrudes from the top of the hair, as if a neck for a bottle or a vase. Face is tilted towards her right, and downwards slightly. flowing hair is sculpted around the face and onto the neck. Facial features are modelled, though faint. Traces of white paint or plaster remain, and of red paint. The red paint is used to colour a band across the face, under the hairline, and then to the top of the cylinder that protrudes from the top of her hair.
