Ancient Egyptian amulet from Dandara dated 664 – 30 BC

Stylised faience amulet of one of the sons of Horus, probably Hapy, though maybe Duamutef. Perhaps once green glazed, surface has now gone. Broken into three pieces at neck, and waist. Hole drilled through the centre of the neck, and the heel to enable it to be stitched to the bandages of a mummy. The figure is mummiform, but there is no incised surface decoration. Modern paper adheres to the back of the pieces, and some black substance which may be ancient or modern.
