Part of a faience ball. The section comes from near the top, and has part of a central hole at its edge. From this hole incised lines radiate, splitting the ball into segments, rather like an orange. These segments are alternately coloured pale and dark blue. The internal surface of the piece has the impression of fibres, criss crossed one over the other, presumably the fiberous ball around which the faience was formed. The faience varies in thickness.
