Ancient Egyptian body sherd from Abydos dated 5300 – 3000 BC Red pottery pot sherd, possibly made from nile silt, with a hole put through the centre. Sides have been trimmed to create a roughly circular shape, though the straight edges give it a rhomboidal look.
