Ancient Egyptian body sherd from Amarna dated 1550 – 1069 BC

A red pottery sherd from a large jar. Wheel turned with a pale yellow slip outer coating on exterior, now flaking in places. There is an incised exterior pot mark similar in shape to ‘DII’, but viewed from a different angle when the sherd is upright, probably ‘neb tawy’ Lord of the two lands.
