Ancient Egyptian bone disc from Qarara dated AD 395 – 641

Bone disc, slightly domed on one side and flat on the other, with a central hole. The domed side has been split into five segments using incised lines. Each segment has then had three semi circular incisions made in it, one above the other. The side of the item has been stained red. Possibly a spindle whorl or perhaps a gaming piece or similar.
