Ancient Egyptian bowl fragment from Deir el Bahari dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Faience sherd from a bowl, with a small fragment which adjoins its edge. Blue glazed on inner and outer surfaces, with dark blue black decoration. On the inner surface are lotus buds and the edge of a square with a border of dashed lines. The exterior surface has the remains of a slightly raised, flat circular base, which has been painted dark in colour, and from which radiate dashed lines, probably part of lotus petals.
