Ancient Egyptian bowl from Deir el Bahari dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Small pottery bowl, with a slightly flared rim. Broken off at its base. Possibly footed originally, or part of a larger dish with separate cups fixed to its edge. The bowl has been pinched in at its base to form a rough square shape, which may have had lead on the foot. Red slip inside and out, striations marked on the exterior of the pottery from its manufacture.
