Ancient Egyptian button from Oxyrhynchus dated 332 – 30 BC

Rectangular bone button or inlay piece. One side is flat with chamfered edges. The other side has a central circular depression incised into it, rings from the working or for decoration remain visible within it, with four smaller circular indents at each corner. This surface is polished smooth. The other side has a rougher surface.
