Ancient Egyptian button from Oxyrhynchus dated 332 – 30 BC

Circular bone button, cream in colour with eight groups of two incised concentric circles placed in a ring around one central hole, and framed by two incised circular rings. The incised decoration may have been filled with a darker paste, some of which this could be mud from the site. This outer surface is polished smooth, though there are some surface scratches. The reverse has a rougher surface.
