Ancient Egyptian canopic jar from Abydos dated 1069 – 715 BC

Dummy canopic jar with jackal head. Part of a set of four dummy canopic jars. Three are solid and carved in one piece. The fourth jar of Imsety, human-headed, has a separate lid and the jar has been slightly hollowed out, but contains no traces of contents and was probably not used.
