Ancient Egyptian comb from Mahasna dated 4000 – 3500 BC

Small ivory comb, with seven teeth of which five are complete and two broken and with fragmentary portion of eighth tooth at one edge. Comb probably had 8 to 10 teeth. Back of comb has flat top with central decorative element broken at top, probably originally the figure of a bird or double bird or stylised horns.
