Ancient Egyptian cotton fragment from Qasr Ibrim dated 200 BC – AD 300

Nine fragments of cotton tapestry, possibly depicting a river scene. All of the fragments have dark blue stripes of varying thicknesses. One of the fragments has two petals coming from a circle, all undyed and outlined in dark blue. One of the fragments has an undyed pattern on a pale blue ground which could be floral.

Part of large collection of textiles from Qasr Ibrim.
