Ancient Egyptian cotton fragment from Qasr Ibrim dated 200 BC – AD 300

Fragment of cotton textile comprising a decorative band of twisted and knotted threads forming a cross patterned openwork border. From one end are the remains of tassles and the opposite side is the main body of the textile which is much weakened and torn.
