Ancient Egyptian cotton fragment from Qasr Ibrim dated AD 550 – 1400

A fragment of cotton. One selvedge is missing, there is a mend across the middle and a seam. There are three narrow blue bands near the borders and four more 8 centimetres above a plaid of blue and undyed irregular check. Blue warps tied out to give undyed ends.

Part of large collection of textiles from Qasr Ibrim.
