Ancient Egyptian earring from Faiyum dated 30 BC – AD 395

A, possibly copper alloy, circular ring, with a break in it to allow it to be threaded through the ear. The wire tapers either side of the break, to make it finer for passing through the ear. May be traces of gold on the surface.
