Ancient Egyptian figurine from Abydos dated 664 – 525 BC

Limestone statuette fragment, probably of a seated lady with arms folded across her chest. Wig lapets fall down the front of her chest. Modelled ears, nose and hair edge. Carved eye sockets probably for inlay. Traces of blue paint the eyes. The figure has a back pillar carved with the start of an inscription.
