Ancient Egyptian figurine from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Baked clay figurine fragment. The head of a Hippopotamus or Cow, broken in three but restuck at some point. Painted red on exterior surface. Incised features. Mouth, nostrils and eyes are pierced into the head. No ears appear to have been however there are two fine holes on the top of the head, perhaps for securing a headdress, ears etc of some other material.
