Ancient Egyptian gilt cartonnage of Nebta-ihyt from Abydos dated 380 – 343 BC

Largest piece of two separately mounted portions of gilt cartonnage, including inscribed strip from legs with text naming Nebta-ihyt, wife of Zeho, daughter of the hm-ntr prophet & king’s scribe Neferibre, and his wife Tadihotep. Tomb of two chambers contained 7 burials – two unnamed, & those of Zeho & Nebta-ihyt in one chamber, and in other chamber those of Horuta & Pedu-en-ast, sons of Nebta-ihyt, and burial of a man, Peduasar.
