Ancient Egyptian grinder from El Hammamiya dated 2180 – 2160 BC Small quartzite cosmetic grinder roughly oval in shape with top surface smoothed and flattened by use. Corners rounded, uneven in thickness. Used for grinding cosmetic eye and face pigments.
