Ancient Egyptian hair net from Illahun dated AD 395 – 642

Sprang hair net. Bag, palited in blue wool with stripes and interlacing lines in red, yellow and green. The seam has a line of red with wavy yellow border. The top edge is a thick plaited band of yellow wool. Remains of the closing cords and yellow and green. Bottom cord yellow.
