Ancient Egyptian hair net from Illahun dated AD 395 – 642

Sprang hair net, plaited wool bag, dyed green after the bag was made. Open work spaces enclosing chevrons and cross devices. The bag is incomplete and is opened out flat to show method of plaiting.
