Ancient Egyptian handle fragment from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Degraded blue and green faience fragment. Originally part of a solid cylinderical shape with a tapering hole down the middle of it, hole now in cross section. This section may come from the bottom of the piece, where the internal hole reaches its point. Part of the base also remains. Exterior surface and base are green and blue glazed, now degraded. The exterior has two lots of fine raised triple bands running around it parallel to each other, and the bottom of what may be a third group at the top of the piece. Possibly a handle from something or a decorative element.
