Ancient Egyptian Horus figurine from Saqqara dated 700 – 200 BC

A blue faience Cippus figurine fragment, showing Horus the Child. Missing below the waist. Head, with moulded features, and scarab on the top of the head. Hawks flank his head, standing on plaques on his shoulders, and the heads of two protective deities and Nephthys are visible on his sides just above his waist. His arms are bent across his chest, and appear to hold two items, possibly snakes. On the back of the piece is incised the top half of a winged female protective deity, with what seems to be a sun’s disc and horns on her head. There is a hole for suspension running through the back of the figure’s head.
