Ancient Egyptian impressed plaster fragment from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

A piece of gypsum plaster, with the impression of hieroglyphs on one face, possibly part of a cartouche. Probably taken from an existing wall decoration. Two holes in the back of the piece are probably from metal pins inserted to facilitate display early in the twentieth century.
