Ancient Egyptian inlay from Tanis dated AD 200 – 299

Four bone inlay fragments which fit together to make a whole piece. The smallest has an incised circle with a dot in the centre and fits onto the jagged top of the next piece. This is decorated with incised circles with dots in the centre. These make a triangle and a triangle made of three circles. This joins to the piece which has the same pattern and a lip at the bottom which joins to the fourth piece which is flat at the bottom and has an incised line border.
