Ancient Egyptian jar

An intact squat red brown pottery jar. Flat base, rising to two moulded lug handles, from where the body turns in a little to a slightly projecting rim. One handle has a strip from it to the rim, raised slightly above the pot surface. Two heads of Bes are modelled on the sides of the jar, separated by the handles. They stretch from the base to just below the rim.
