Ancient Egyptian jar from Beni Hasan dated 2055 – 1985 BC

Pottery jar. Roughly ovaloid in shape but sides become concave about half wya down the body. The base is narrow and flat. The neck flares outwards slightly and the rim protrudes horizontally, about 10mm in width, chipped around half of rim.
