Ancient Egyptian jar from El Hammamiya Qaw el Kibir dated 2181 – 2160 BC

An orange red ware jar with red slip. It has a spherical body slightly narrowing to a rounded base. The shoulder narrows to a short neck with a flaring rounded rim. There are five raised lines around the shoulder. The lower part of the body is blackened.
