Ancient Egyptian jar from Qasr Ibrim Nubia dated AD 395 – 642

Globular orange pottery jar with an ovaloid body and a ring base. Short, straight neck with an unmodelled rim. Neck and mouth flattened on one side. Reddish orange ware with reddish orange wash on exterior, polished, and with black painted decoration on exterior. Decoration of triple lines in bands, also section of running triangles, and panelled frieze with plant and geometric motifs.
