Ancient Egyptian jar from Qaw el Kibir dated 2160 – 2025 BC

A red ware pottery jar or brazier. The top is broken away. The body is ovaloid, there is no base at it is open at the bottom and has a foot around it which has a ridge at the top. On two sides are triangular holes. Under these there are two lines going around the jar. There are hieroglyphs engraved on one side.
