Ancient Egyptian jar from Tanis dated 30 BC – AD 395 Small red pottery jar with an ovaloid body and rounded base. Narrowing at top to a short neck with a flared, rounded rim. Lump of pottery on one side, possibly the vestiges of an unfinished handle or an error.
