Ancient Egyptian knife from Qasr Ibrim dated AD 395 – 642

A wooden handled knife. The iron blade is held in position by a rivet through the wood. Handle decorated on both sides by two short diagonal incisions. The handle is split to accommodate the tang of the knife blade. There is a separate metal band around the top part of the handle.
