Ancient Egyptian kohl pot rim from Abydos El Arabah dated 1800 – 1600 BC

A rim from an intact black green Serpentine Kohl pot. It is detachable and slots onto the short upstand on the pot. It has a hole through the centre which has a rim on one side. The kohl pot is 1900.54.125.1, the lid which goes on top of the rim is 1900.54.125.3. Hatching marks from the making of the pot are visible on the underside of the rim.
