Ancient Egyptian limestone fragment from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Roughly half an oval in shape, split across the longitudinal axis, with notches cut into one end, giving the effect of a fish tail, and a line scored into the flat surface of one side, echoing the external oval shape. Limestone. Traces of yellow on surface, or yellow stone, and pitting on one side, in what would have been the centre of the oval. The other side is slightly domed.
