Ancient Egyptian linen fragment from Karanis dated After AD 642

Four parts of a padded and quilted linen with narrow blue woven lines. Round pipes of twisted fibre have been placed between an outer covering of linen and a thin self colour felt. This is covered by linen and the whole stitched like quilting along the lines of the enclosed pipes of twisted fibre.
