Ancient Egyptian linen fragment from Oxyrhynchus dated AD 395 – 642

A linen cloth with linen band stitched on. This is tapestry woven in red, deep blue, light green and yellow. The design is a conventional tree bearing red flowers. There are three trees. This alternates with a floral device in yellow.
Tapestry applied onto plain weave. There are ten warps per centimetre with 2 threads per warp.
