Ancient Egyptian linen sheet dated 2055 – 332 BC

Large linen sheet, possibly once a shroud or sheet for clothing. Fabric is in good condition: pale and flexible. One warp (?) selvedge preserved. Fringing remains on one end. Sections clearly cut off in the past. Had been cleaned before arrival at Bolton.
