Ancient Egyptian oil lamp from Hierakleopolis dated 30 BC – AD 395

Small pottery oil lamp, with integral spout. Orange or brown pottery. Pear shaped, with a central hole in the top of the reservoir, and a hole at the apex of the pear shape. Circular depression surrounds the central hole, and four bands run from the hole to the apex hole. The two outer ones curling round as they reach the central hole. Patch of blackening on the top surface, with white on top.
