Ancient Egyptian painted foot shroud from Akhmim dated 30 BC – AD 395

Rectangular linen cloth painted with two back-to-back scenes. One shows a pair of feet, seen from above, wearing sandals. The other depicts two lions facing a doorway with cavetto cornice. Both scenes are guarded by winged sun-discs with pendant uraei.
