Ancient Egyptian pin from Mahasna dated 4000 – 3500 BC Long ivory pin, almost complete, slightly chipped at pointed end and broken at its decorated top. Cylindrical for much of length, then flattened at top from which projects lower part of decoration of what was originally a stylised bird.
