Ancient Egyptian pottery uraeus from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

A pottery uraeus or cobra, showing the head, and upper body of the snake. The head and body are painted yellow, although there are patches of blue on the body and the eyes are blue. Traces of red are also present on the head and body. In the middle of the snake’s body is modelled its tail.
