Ancient Egyptian Ptah figurine from Saqqara dated 664 – 332 BC

Copper alloy figurine of the god Ptah. Standing mummiform figure, with tang below feet to allow attachment to base, tang partially broken off. Facial features modelled, with projecting ears, cap, and sacred beard. Depicted with arms to his sides until elbows, when they come forward of the figure at right angles to hold a staff which is now missing. Broad collar incised around the neck, and traces of what may be a cartouche incised into the centre back of the shoulders. Small circular depression in the middle back.
